Wrap It Up

I had to wrap a gift recently and decided to get a bit creative. I normally put gifts in bags with different colour tissue paper and ribbon but this was for a special friend and i was feeling creative so i decided to use one of my many gift boxes.

I then added a piece of yellow tissue paper and the gift.

I then folded the tissue paper over the gift and closed the lid. Then I cut three pieces of three colours of ribbon to match the box and tied them in 2 bunches over the box.

Then I tied two pieces of ribbon in a bow and then folded a few of the other pieces over to make circles over the centre. My last touch was to add the 21st key and a cute birthday card, and it was done!

This was lots of fun for me to do, it looked great, and it took me 5 minutes to do. It was also SO affordable! The box cost me R10 (about $0.70c), the tissue paper cost me R0.50c (less than $0.05c) for the sheet (which I only used half of) and R15 (About $2) for the three rolls of ribbon, which can be used again and again. All it is about is looking around for the materials and keeping them aside for one day. Most of my pieces came from sales that i found years ago! That way you have the right tools when you need it.
