Right now nautical is very in fashion with bright whites, navy blue, chunky gold, and bell bottoms (a style which originated with the sailor pants of the US navy). Although it doesn’t mesh too well with the weather in SA right now, it makes me feel summary and fresh which is a welcome change to the grey skies and rain I’m getting used to. It has been worn by many celebrities recently, including Giuliana Rancic, and has been shown on summer catwalks for the likes of Christian Dior and Tommy Hilfiger, so i thought I’d do a little spread of my own to show my favourite pieces for summer 2011. PS I’ve always loved nautical as navy blue is my favourite colour :)
